Uam students murdered brutally BY UNKNOWN GUN MEN

THE STING OF DEATH
A citadel of learning becomes a slaughter house of humans. An ivory tower bows to the bullet from the gun. Yet so, an academic and learning institution becomes are carnage centre.

The University of Agriculture Makurdi in Benue State, Nigeria as at noon of today will become a desert of itself. One out of the three special universities in Nigeria of agricultural studies and related now holds a new hall mark. It is a hall mark best described by what it is. “A PLACE WHERE STUDENTS ARE KILLED LIKE FLIES”. Who kills the students is an unanswered question. What happens when the students are killed is yet another unanswered question.

Permit me to sadly state that, at least 10 students have been reported dead over a span of Monday (06-06-2016) to Wednesday (08-06-2016). All deaths were not of natural causes. Some blame it on Cults. Some blame it on unknown gunmen. But the bottom line is that nothing has been done to bring the doers of these heinous acts to justice.

The University Management puts up a circular and tells all students to evacuate the school premises on or before noon of today (09-06-2016). A recess of 2 weeks stretch after which we are expected to come back. We have no choice, we are going home.

“We shall install Community Policing prior to your resumption to check mate this carnage and further prevent a repeat”, says the school management. We the students can only pray and wish for peace and security upon resumption.

We shall mourn our fallen students. Their blood shall continually bring forth tears from our eyes.
