As Youth Voice programs, activities and organizations have long proven, young people are more than simple recipients of well-meaning adult actions. Instead, they are actively wise, insightful, effective and meaningful members of society who contribute countless things in countless ways throughout the world adults share with them.
In our adult-driven societies, it can be hard to honor youth for all of their contributions. Simply remembering to say thank you isn’t enough, either. Instead, we must work to transform our personal attitudes, shared cultures and social systems.
